When children are ready to start Nursery we work hard to provide families with all the information they need to help us to plan a programme for children to help them settle quickly.

Parents Meeting

this is held a few weeks before a child starts Nursery and gives parents essential information

Home Visit

this gives parents and the child chance to meet staff in their home environment to talk about the child's needs, likes and dislikes, before starting Nursery

Visiting Day

Parent and child visit the Nursery for an hour just to get used to the new surroundings

Introduction

there are usually 2 weeks of alternate day settings, of 2 hours in length. This helps the child really settle in without becoming overwhelmed and anxious

Full Sessions

Daily sessions of 3 hours begin
